I always wanted to have “it all”- the career and the family. For more than a decade, my entire life revolved around news- vacations, birthdays, weddings, even the birth of my children. I loved chasing down leads, breaking a news story and sharing in the triumphs of other people’s lives. But I realized I was missing out on my own story.
I never imagined a life outside of television news but I thanked viewers for watching a final time on February 28, 2016. It was the scariest and the most thrilling decision of my life!
I have a new job- one allows me to spend time with my two pint-sized blessings and serve my community. But life is still busy. Right now, I’m working to redefine what it means to “have it all.” Please join my daughters, my husband, our puggle and me for this messy, beautiful journey in finding time to celebrate the blessings in our life and becoming a blessing to someone else.
